Where to start with AI certification for your team

A practical way for managers in India to choose the first AI certification for a team, without overspending or overreaching.

For most organisations, the real AI challenge is literacy. A few people experiment with tools, while most of the team is unsure what is allowed, what is useful and what is risky.

Certification is useful because it gives that learning a structure and a finish line. The challenge is choosing the right starting point.

Start with shared literacy

For most teams, the first step is a foundation certification that everyone can take, regardless of role. AI CERTs' AI Essentials domain, which includes AI+ Foundation™ and AI+ Everyone Fundamentals™, is designed for people without a technical background.

Shared literacy means managers and staff use the same vocabulary when they discuss where AI fits, and the same expectations about responsible use.

Then go role by role

Once the basics are in place, pick certifications that match how people actually work. Project managers, HR teams, finance teams and sales teams each have role-based options in the AI Business domain. Leaders setting direction can look at AI+ Executive Fundamentals™ or AI+ Chief AI Officer Practitioner™.

Technical teams building solutions are better served by development, cloud or security certifications than by business-focused programs.

Plan it like any other training

Treat AI upskilling the way you would treat safety training: identify the roles, set the priority order, schedule around operations and track completion. Skill Tech helps organisations build that plan and match each role to an AI CERTs pathway.
