Contractor crews often arrive with little notice and different safety backgrounds. A structured induction makes sure everyone starts with the same essential knowledge.

Separate the essentials from the detail

Day-one essentials are site entry rules, PPE, alarms, assembly points, restricted areas and how to report a hazard. Task-specific detail can follow in toolbox talks and permit briefings.

Check what each worker understood

A short practical check, such as walking to the assembly point or identifying restricted areas on a map, confirms the induction worked.

Keep it consistent

Standardised induction content means every crew hears the same message, whichever supervisor delivers it.
