What workplace first aid training does not replace

First aid training prepares a nominated person to help until further care arrives. It does not replace an ambulance, a clinic, or a written emergency plan.

Before a batch, decide who is nominated, where the first aid materials are kept, and which number people call. Tell the trainer if an AED is on site. Practice with an AED happens only when a trainer unit is part of that batch.

Read the completion record for what it is. Skill Tech does not describe that record as approval by an external awarding body. If a client, insurer, or authority asks for a named certificate, check that requirement before you book.

Refresh the people, not only the poster on the wall. When nominated staff leave, the cover leaves with them. Ask for another batch rather than assuming the old record still matches the team.
